Is It the Bowlers’ Season? Batting
Collapses in IPL 2025

As IPL started with lots of mind-blowing matches, and super wins, followed by big sixes
and exciting clashes. As usual, fans were excited for this IPL season, but this time the
match is telling a diƯerent story, where batsmen were enjoying the victory credit every
year. But this time it seems the bowlers are enjoying the winning tag because many
teams have faced sudden batting collapses, making fans wonder if this is the season of
the bowlers, and batting is fading away. In many matches, we got to see that many
teams won the match just due to the bowler and their correct timings of taking wickets.

Reason for the batter struggling

It is coming to know that the main reason can be the pitch this year, that is the pitches
are slower and drier, which is making it diƯicult for batters to perform well in the field,
and that is why bowlers are getting a chance for more swing, seam and spin, making
batting much harder even this time teams have prepared a great strategy for bowlers
and using smart tactics bowlers are playing on the field. Many teams even faced strong
pressure in between the matches because their strong batters got out in the early overs,
which made the game more competitive. Another obstacle is the impact player rule.
This rule is used by the team to bring key bowlers when required the most, thus making
it harder for batters to settle. Due to all these key factors, bowlers became much comfortable in the match this time as compared to batters, and thus they are
performing very well on the ground and their performance is helping their team to win
the match.

Conclusion
IPL is an unpredictable game. As the match progresses, the pitch will improve, and if the conditions become favourable, teams may perform better.

Additionally, IPL 2025 has shown that bowlers can dominate the game. It will be interesting to see whether this trend continues or if batters will once again take the spotlight. Every year, the best batsmen usually steal the spotlight of the tournament, but this time it’s the bowlers who are making headlines. Whether it’s Ashwani Kumar (Mumbai Indians), Anrich Nortje (Delhi Capitals), Rashid Khan (Gujarat Titans), or Jofra Archer (Mumbai Indians), all are performing exceptionally well and utilizing their best bowling techniques to take wickets whenever possible.
